El Museo Arqueológico Nacional ha reabierto sus puertas. Puedes visitarlo de forma gratuita del 1 al 20 de Abril.

Sus obras comenzaron en 2008. Este museo, fue fundado en 1867, para poder mostrar la historia de las antiguas civilizaciones de nuestro país.

La carta quizás es algo corta, aunque no se necesita más, compuesta por platos sencillos y sin pretensiones. 

Me parece un sitio ideal para tomar un café o una cerveza una tarde de domingo. Sin embargo, os recomiendo que no se os haga muy tarde, ya que la zona no es demasiado recomendable.

Desde hace mucho tiempo, os quiero hablar de la gran provincia que es Tarragona, a la que tengo un gran cariño, ya que era la tierra de mis abuelos.

Concretamente hago referencia a algunos de los rincones que visité el fin de semana pasado.

TARRAGONA CIUDAD: El conjunto arqueológico que forman sus ruinas romanas fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco. Su casco antiguo, está rodeado por la muralla romana.
Podemos encontrar monumentos tan importantes como la Antiga Audiència (gran torreón romano), el Anfiteatro de Tarraco, el Circo romano, el Mercado central (diseñado por el arquitecto Josep Maria Pujol i de Barberà) y la Rambla Nova (majestuoso paseo en el que se alinea interesantes edificios y el popular monumento a los Castellers).
TARRAGONA CITY: The archaeological Roman ruins that form was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Its old town is surrounded by the Roman walls. 
We can find important monuments like the Antiga Audiència (great Roman tower), the Ampitheater Tarraco, the Roman Circus, the Central Market (designed by architect Josep Maria Pujol i Barbera) and the Rambla Nova (majestic ride which aligns interesting buildings and popular monument to Castellars).

TORTOSA: Capital de la comarca del bajo Ebro, en el cual podemos encontrar el castillo de San Juan o de la Zuda (impresionante fortaleza que domina la ciudad), que es el actual Parador de Turismo ¡No os lo perdáis! ¡Precioso! Tortosa también cuenta con una bella catedral, la catedral de Santa María, iniciada en el año 1347.

LA SELVA DEL CAMP, EL MILÁ Y LA MASÓ: Me resultaba imprescindible nombrar los pueblos de mis antepasados, no es que sean gran cosa, pero os podéis imaginar el cariño que los tengo. Sin duda mi favorito es la Selva del Camp, se cree que tiene un origen romano y que posteriormente fue ocupado por los árabes. Su primer reconocimiento escrito es de 1149. Su principal actividad económica es el cultivo de avellanos (la mayor producción de España) y olivos.
LA SELVA DEL CAMP, EL MILÁ Y LA MASÓ: I found it necessary to appoint the towns of my ancestors, not because they are great, but you can imagine the love that I have it. Bar Cock

Hace unas semanas conocí este bar emblemático de Madrid. Nació en 1921 y sus fundadores fueron Emilio Saracho y Perico Chicote. Ambos viajaron a Londres para adquirir piezas inglesas originales que todavía se conservan y que, junto con los altísimos techos, la imponente chimenea y las flores frescas, distinguen este local situado en un palacete francés de la Calle de la Reina como uno de los de más solera de Madrid.

A few weeks ago I met this landmark bar in Madrid. Born in 1921, its founders were Emilio Saracho and Perico Chicote. Both traveled to London to acquire original English pieces that still survive and, along with the high ceilings, stunning fireplace and fresh flowers, distinguish this home located in a French palace in de la Reina Street as one of the best of Madrid.

En una primera etapa, el bar quitaba la sed a intelectuales, poetas y políticos. Por allí podíamos encontrarnos personajes como Mihura, Buñuel o Dalí.
